About the Artist
Judy Klich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1990. After 18 years as a professional commercial designer, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream to be creative without parameters. In May 2011 she completed her MFA at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Encaustic is her chosen medium and passion. Its unique physical properties—using a mixture of beeswax, dammar resin and oil paint combined with heat—offer a multi-dimensional, heavily textured surface. Judy’s process combines painting, drawing, collage and photograph transfers creating an unexpected spontaneous flow of energy and endless possibilities.
Judy currently resides in Nashville, TN.
